I joined SalesTank during the discovery phase, initially working as a business analyst before transitioning into a product management role after launch. The platform provides AI-driven lead management, automated dialing, and compliance-focused sales tools.

Challenges We Faced

  • Navigating compliance regulations for call recordings, insurance sales, do-not-call lists, and consent tracking across different US states.
  • Working with budget-sensitive clients who required a high-quality product built to exact specifications.
  • Managing a large-scale feature set, balancing dense business logic while keeping the system intuitive for users.

My Role

  • Worked with the UI designer early on before taking over design responsibilities.
  • Developed enhancement concepts based on feedback from test users and the development team.
  • Fleshed out feature ideas, estimated effort vs. value, and defined priorities.
  • Wrote user stories, requirements, and designed interactions for over 250 unique screens.

Core Product Features

  • AI-driven campaign management system that serves as the brain of the platform, optimizing lead allocation to maximize conversion rates and improve lead purchasing efficiency.
  • Integrations with lead vendors, Twilio, Stripe, and an autodialer that allocates leads to agents.
  • Lead disposition flows to track progress and automate follow-ups.
  • CMS for lead management to store, segment, and assign leads.
  • AI-driven tools for call transcription, summaries, and scoring.
  • Advanced reporting to provide insights into agent performance and lead conversion.

Go-to-Market and Adoption

  • The founders led sales and marketing, leveraging their network to drive adoption.
  • We conducted closed testing with users in a live environment, gathering insights to refine the MVP.

Results

  • The product recently launched, and data on outcomes is still being gathered.
  • The biggest achievement was delivering a feature-dense web application with over 250 unique screens and complex business logic for the MVP release.

Takeaways

  • Managing compliance-heavy sales workflows in a way that remains user-friendly.
  • Balancing feature complexity with usability in a large-scale web application.
  • Owning product design, prioritization, and execution to deliver a high-impact MVP.

This project was a deep dive into building intricate, AI-powered sales systems at scale while keeping compliance and user experience at the forefront.
